The mission of Hillcrest is to be a transitional housing program, providing a Christian environment that helps homeless families become self-supportive, self-reliant contributors to society. Hillcrest’s primary objective is to move clients from homelessness to self-sufficiency within 90 days by addressing the total life situation of the homeless families they serve. As the sponsor of a Hillcrest apartment, Brookdale Church has a unique opportunity to partner with the families on a more personal level.

Lives Under Construction Boys Ranch is a residential treatment home for at-risk boys between the ages of 7 and 21. The Ranch began with a vision to make it possible for troubled boys to have a second chance at life by changing their behavior patterns. They believe this begins by demonstrating God's love to them through words and actions. Accomplishments at the Ranch are based on two basic principles: God can change lives in miraculous ways, and good work habits are important for building character, self-esteem and self-discipline.
